Directions:
1) To get started click on the “>>” in the top left corner.
2) Click on the “Layers” tab and then check the box of the layers you’d like to see mapped together on the map. If you click a box and don’t see anything change on the map, try zooming in closer on the map. They might be finer details layers like housing “vacancies” or “parcels”, and you need to be zoomed in closer to see them.
3) If you’ve found something in a layer of particular interest. You can click on the item on the map and a drop-down box will give you more information. i.e. orange dots are “Black residents .25 miles away from contamination/waste sites,” if you click the orange dot, it will give you specific numbers about how many Black, white, Asian, Native etc. people live near that site. You can also click the contaminated site to see what substance, chemical, pollutant is being released.
